Salt & Fog
Two winters on the Cabot Trail, waiting for the weather to make the decisions.
I went to Cape Breton to photograph fishing villages and ended up photographing fog. Over two winters I learned to read the sea mist rolling in off the Gulf: when it would swallow a headland, when it would lift for ten minutes and give back a single rock. The series is about patience, and about how little of a coastline you need to see to know it.
